Many people tapping into Daily Divine for the first time ask 'What specific type of religion or spirituality is your work focused on?' I don't proscribe one particular approach to spirituality or religion; I help my coaching clients and workshop and retreat participants incorporate their own unique approach to spirituality into everything they are and everything they do. My belief is that spirituality can be a part of everything we are and everything we do, a constant source of energy and meaning. Thus spirituality is not just the more obvious external moments of spiritual or religious practice, though those are certainly part of an integrated spiritual life; it is not a separate box accessed only at the call to prayer, or at dusk on a Friday night, or on a Sunday morning, or at the turn of seasons, or when sitting za-zen. Indeed, many of my clients will describe themselves as 'very spiritual, but not at all religious', and our work together provides a space in which they are fully supported, often for the very first time, while they articulate and explore that spirituality, and how it can be integral to every aspect of their lives. For those who do follow a specific spiritual or religious practice, there is already a wealth of energy and meaning to draw on as a result of that practice, and at the same time there is still so much room to explore that practice, and define what it means for them on a very personal and practical level.
